This hot spring gem in the Westfjords is definitely worth it. Part of private property, Hörgshlíðarlaug hot tub offers an exquisite view over the fjord with high and strong mountains watching over it. I would encourage you to ask the owner for permission before entering (he lives in a small house not far away and is a very nice man). He does maintain the pool every now and then so just to keep this little gem alive I would ask him for permission.

QUICK NOTES:

  • What it is: A geothermal hot tub in the Westfjords.

  • Best season: Any!

  • Opening hours: 24/7.

  • Nice to know: It is on private property so I would encourage you to ask the land owner for permission, he's a nice man that lives in a small house close by. It's completely free and there's a small changing room right next to it.
