Even though they have spread out quite a bit at this point, this is the original shop of the iconic Icelandic hot dog resturant, Bæjarins Beztu ("the town's best"). Hot dogs are a big part of Icelandic food culture so definitely try these out if you ever see one of their stands! I always get a "Eina með öllu / Eina med ollu" or one with everything. That's basically a hot dog with mustard, ketchup, remolade, fresh onion and roasted onion - so, so good.

It has been pretty popular with fancy celebrities like former US president Bill Clinton, Metallica frontman James Hetfleid, actor Charlie Sheen, reality star Kim Kardashian to name a few. And if you have the same taste in food as Bill Clinton (no idea how you would know that though) then get a hot dog with nothing but mustard.
