We stayed at Riad Sakkan during our time in Marrakech, and it felt like a true escape from the chaos of the medina—without actually leaving it. Tucked away in the trendy Mouassine neighborhood, this boutique riad is effortlessly cool. Think leafy courtyards, bold design, and a vibe that’s both luxurious and low-key.

There are only 12 rooms, each with its own look and feel, which makes the whole stay feel really personal. We especially loved spending our afternoons lounging by the pool. But the rooftop? That’s where the magic happens. Sunset cocktails, views over the old city, and the occasional call to prayer echoing in the background—it was the kind of moment you just want to pause.

The restaurant here is also worth mentioning. Whether you're starting your day with a fresh Moroccan breakfast or enjoying a late-night tagine, everything we had was delicious and beautifully presented.

If you’re into design, detail, and places that feel like a secret oasis, Riad Sakkan delivers. It’s also within walking distance of some of the city’s best concept stores, galleries, and restaurants—so it makes the perfect base if you want to explore Marrakech’s more modern, creative side.
