The most developed area on the island, but still charming and low-key compared to any mainland resort. A small turquoise beach with a promenade lined with restaurants, ice cream shops, boutiques, and souvenir stores. The beach has shallow, calm water — safe for young kids — and you can rent sun loungers and umbrellas. In the evenings, the promenade comes alive with families strolling, kids playing, and restaurant terraces filling up. This is the best base if you want convenience: supermarkets, pharmacies, ATMs, and nightlife (by Formentera standards — a few cocktail bars, nothing wild). Hotels and apartments here are more affordable than boutique options elsewhere. Walk west along the coast path to reach some quieter rocky coves within 10 minutes.
