THE most famous restaurant on Formentera, right on the sand at Ses Illetes beach. Founded by Juan and his wife Andrea, who were originally caretakers of S'Espalmador island. The restaurant is now a luxury beachfront institution: feet-in-the-sand dining, palm-shaded terraces, and immaculate service. Fresh seafood is the star — choose your fish from the display and they grill it to perfection. The seafood paella, grilled sea bass, and tuna tartare are legendary. Prices are very high (€100+ per person easily) but this is a bucket-list meal. Open for lunch only (1–7:30 PM). They have a dinghy service for guests arriving by yacht. Book 3+ days ahead for any hope of a table in summer. The secret: even if you can't get a table, they do takeaway food that you can eat on the beach nearby. Dress code is relaxed — you're on the beach — but a shirt is required for men.
