Rattray lighthouse, near Peterhead is a Victorian era lighthouse on a secluded coastal area. The waves thrash the coast and if you are a photographer you will get great moody shots and a look at the thousands of seabirds who have made the area their home.
The lighthouse is positioned out in the sea, but at low tide you can walk closer to it. The area can be a little bit uneven so please take care when walking there and I wouldn't head there at night as there will be no other light.

Rattray Head is accessed via the A90, 15 minutes north of Peterhead.
