Rockefeller Center is a massive complex in Midtown Manhattan, New York City, spanning 22 acres between 48th and 51st Streets. Originally planned as a new home for the Metropolitan Opera, it transformed into a hub for media and entertainment after the opera plans fell through. Constructed during the Great Depression, the center's Art Deco buildings were designed by a team of architects led by Raymond Hood. The iconic Radio City Music Hall, Rockefeller Plaza, and annual Christmas tree lighting are just some of the highlights of this bustling urban oasis. With its rich history and vibrant atmosphere, Rockefeller Center continues to be a beloved landmark in the heart of the Big Apple.
