The Alpine Lakes Wilderness is an absolute dream if hiking is at the top of your to-do list! Home to famous treks such as the Enchantments, this is easily one of the most stunning places I have ever been! Full of the bluest, crystal clear lakes, it's as if you're on another planet. There are also several other areas to explore within the wilderness besides the Enchantments. You'll want to plan ahead if you plan to do overnight hikes here as you have to have a permit which can be pretty difficult to get. Alternatively, you can choose to day hike instead! Depending on how long you want your day hike to be, I recommend packing a picnic and hiking to Colchuck Lake and spending some time beneath the dramatic Dragontail peak!
