Kelimutu is a volcano in Flores, Indonesia known for its three crater lakes that change colors, ranging from blue to green and red. These color shifts are caused by volcanic activity and chemical reactions within the lakes. The area is popular with tourists who visit to witness the stunning natural phenomenon. Additionally, Kelimutu holds cultural significance for the local Lio people, who believe that the souls of the dead migrate to different lakes based on age and behavior. Overall, Kelimutu offers a unique blend of geological wonders and cultural traditions for visitors to explore. It only takes 30 minutes to walk to the top and you can get here from Bali by flying from DPS - Labuan Bajo and then to Ende!
