🗓️ Best time to visit:

  • Jun–Sep (easy access, snow-free viewpoints)

  • Morning or late afternoon for best light

⏱️ Recommended time:

  • 30–60 minutes

Located right along the Richardson Highway near Valdez, Worthington Glacier is one of the most accessible glaciers in Alaska. You can admire this massive wall of ice just steps from the parking lot, making it a perfect quick stop with a big visual impact.

💡 Why visit:

  • one of the easiest glaciers to see up close in Alaska

  • dramatic views without any long hike

  • perfect photo stop on the way to/from Valdez

⚠️ Good to know:

  • short trails and viewpoints available, but stay on marked paths

  • weather can change quickly at higher elevation

  • limited facilities → quick stop rather than long visit
