From here, you're treated to absolutely breathtaking, up-close views of the massive Emmons Glacier and the summit of Mount Rainier itself. The area is the starting point for numerous trails that wind through vibrant subalpine meadows, perfect for wildflower viewing in the summer. All trails and the visitor center are easily accessible from the main parking area.
