Step into a world that feels truly prehistoric here in the Hoh Rain Forest, one of the most magical corners of the Olympic Peninsula. From the visitor center, you have easy access to a couple of incredible short loop trails. The Hall of Mosses Trail is a must-do; it's a gentle 0.8-mile walk where ancient maples are draped in thick, green moss, creating a surreal, otherworldly canopy. For a slightly longer but equally flat 1.2-mile walk, the Spruce Nature Trail takes you through more of this lush, temperate rainforest and along the banks of the glacier-fed Hoh River. It's an unforgettable experience, and visiting on a damp, misty day only enhances the vibrant green magic of it all.
