Prepare for an unforgettable, full-day adventure to the Grinnell Glacier Overlook, a true gem in Glacier National Park. Your journey starts on the famed Highline Trail from Logan Pass, which you'll want to reach very early to secure parking. The trail hugs the Garden Wall, offering spectacular, wide-open vistas every step of the way, but be prepared for some narrow ledges. The final push to the overlook is a very steep and strenuous climb, but the breathtaking, top-of-the-world view of the glacier and its turquoise lake is a reward you'll never forget.
If you start from the Highline Trail all the way to the Garden Wall and the turnoff toward the Grinnell Glacier Overlook, will be incredible. I kept stopping every few minutes to take photos and videos, even though the peaks were heavily hazy due to wildfires in Montana, Idaho, and even British Columbia. From the left side of the overlook, we had a stunning view of the Grinnell Lake and the glacier itself. We could even see floating icebergs on the lake
