When you step out of the train at the Morteratsch train station, the journey through hundreds of years of glacial history starts. Along the way up to the glacier you will pass by different markings, each showing you the length that the glacier once had. You will see the massive effect climate warming already had on this glacier with your own eyes. This hike is most spectacular in autumn, since the trees are very colorful and give offer great possibilities to take pictures.
