the confusing Ferries between the Banggai Islands and which to chose

All routes use public boats — buy tickets on the spot, no online booking needed.
Luwuk → Leme Leme (Peleng): Departs daily around 2 PM, takes ~2 hours, costs ~50,000–54,000 IDR. Large wooden boat; private cabin available for ~50,000 IDR extra. Often leaves about an hour late ("rubber time"). Return ferry Leme Leme → Luwuk departs daily around 8–9 AM (~2–3 hours).
Luwuk → Salakan (Banggai Kepulauan): Departs daily around 4 PM, takes ~3.5–4 hours, costs ~50,000–75,000 IDR (KM Tarasanca).
Luwuk → Banggai (Banggai Laut): Daily RoRo ferry (e.g. KMP Tanjung Api / KM Harapanku Mekar, ~11 AM), takes ~8 hours, costs ~86,000–132,000 IDR. Private double cabin available for around €25 extra. The harbour is in Tinakin Laut. Return Banggai → Luwuk also runs daily, usually in the evening.
Salakan ↔ Banggai Laut: Connected by local boats or speedboats, ~2–3 hours, weather-dependent.
Lukpanenteng (the Paisu Pok village): most Thursday's there is a direct local ferry that takes 2 hours and costs 60.000 IDR. Departs from the Pelabuhan Luwuk (! not the Pelabuhan Rakyat!).
Tip: All these ferries can generally be caught without advance booking, but schedules shift with sea conditions, so always confirm the day's departure locally.
