More information:

Ross Fountain was made in 1872 by French iron-founder Jean-Baptiste Jules Klagmann and originally displayed at the Great Exhibition before being gifted to Edinburgh. After decades of exposure and deterioration, it underwent a major restoration and was reinstalled in 2018, restoring its original Victorian detail. Today it stands as one of Edinburgh’s most recognisable landmarks, framed by Edinburgh Castle and the historic Princes Street Gardens.
