Palm Jumeirah is a man-made archipelago in Dubai, UAE, shaped like a palm tree. It's part of a larger project called the Palm Islands, aiming to extend Dubai's shoreline by 520 kilometers. With over 25,000 residents, it features a mix of commercial and residential areas on the trunk, luxurious villas on the fronds, and upscale resorts on the outer crescent. The construction started in 2001, and the island has its own monorail connecting it to the mainland. Despite some environmental impacts, like jellyfish sightings, it remains a popular destination with around 30 hotels offering a luxurious stay for visitors.
