Friðheimar is a family-run farm in Iceland where they grow tomatoes year-round using eco-friendly methods. With a focus on sustainability and quality, Friðheimar offers a taste of Icelandic agriculture and hospitality in a cozy setting.
It is about an hour and 20 minutes outside of Reykjavík. Here you can tour the greenhouses, enjoy a unique dining experience surrounded by tomato plants, and even take home delicious tomato-based products from their little tomato shop.
They have vegan options on the menu but a must is their unlimited tomato soup. The soup is self-serve and you can pick your own basil from the basil plant that is on your table. There's other dishes to choose from and for dessert there's even tomato sorbet! You also get to finish your meal with tea and coffee that is also self-serve.
It is a great spot to stop at if you go to Gulfoss Falls and Geysir as they're minutes from each other.
