Nestled halfway between Courtenay and Campbell River, Miracle Beach Provincial Park is a true Vancouver Island gem — where tall evergreens meet long stretches of soft sand, driftwood-lined shores, and the gentle rhythm of the Salish Sea.
It’s the kind of place that feels timeless — kids building sandcastles, eagles circling overhead, and campers sharing stories around the fire as the tide rolls in. Whether you’re visiting for the day or settling in for a few nights, Miracle Beach captures that easy, coastal magic Vancouver Island is known for.
Miracle Beach is best known for its wide sandy shoreline and incredible intertidal life. When the tide is out, the beach stretches far and flat, revealing tide pools filled with sea stars, tiny crabs, and shells. When the tide comes in, it’s perfect for wading, paddleboarding, or simply relaxing and watching the sky shift colors over the Strait of Georgia.
The forest trails are just as peaceful — winding through second-growth fir, cedar, and hemlock, with gentle terrain suitable for all ages. The Nature House (open seasonally) offers hands-on displays about local wildlife, marine life, and the surrounding ecosystem — a great stop for families.
