Filberg Park is a heritage property once home to a prominent logging family. Today, it’s a community park featuring manicured gardens, ocean views, and quiet walking paths through forest and lawn.

This is a nine-acre waterfront municipal heritage site in Comox, BC, featuring a 1930s Arts and Crafts-style lodge, meticulously landscaped gardens, and a rare tree arboretum. The park is a popular community hub for weddings, picnics, and major seasonal festivals. 

• Park Hours: Open daily from dawn until dusk year-round.

• Gate & Washroom Hours: Starting January 1, 2025, the main gates and upper washrooms are open daily from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. After 4:00 PM, use the pedestrian gate off Comox Avenue; lower washrooms remain available.

• Admission: Park entry is free of charge, though donations are encouraged for lodge entry. Fees apply during special events like the Filberg Festival.

• Filberg Lodge: A 4,000-square-foot heritage home open seasonally for tours (typically by donation).

• Gardens & Arboretum: Includes over 130 varieties of trees, hundreds of rhododendrons, a cutting garden, and a certified wildlife-friendly habitat.

• Filberg Summer Kitchen: A seasonal restaurant offering lunch, snacks, and live music on Friday evenings during the summer months.

• Filberg Gift Shop: Located in the lodge, selling donated antiques and collectibles; open seasonally from May to September.

• Hands On Farm: A seasonal petting zoo for children featuring goats, sheep, and mini-horses.

• Easter at Filberg: Scheduled for April 4, 2026.

• Filberg Festival: A major 3-day arts and crafts festival taking place from July 31 to August 2, 2026. Note that the park is closed to the public the week before and after this festival for setup and strike.

• Christmas at Filberg: Scheduled for November 21, 2026.
