On one of our trips to Northern Vancouver Island, we tried to spend the night at Anutz Lake in the Nimpkish Valley. It was super busy, so we got out of there. I'm pretty good at finding the perfect hidden spots.

Heading north on Highway 19, turn left onto Zeballos Junction.

Follow the Zeballos Forest Service Rd.

Turn right on Atluk Relocation Rd and continue right.

Continue and stay right on Atluk Relocation Rd.

Huson Lake should be on your right.

At the end of the lake is a right turn, follow it and stay right through to the end of the road. The trees make it look like it dead ends, but keep going.

A small hill to get down to the camping area. It's a big, open wild camping area, with enough room for all.

We saw a small car heading out when we went there. Make sure you have good tires and a spare when driving around these areas.

In the summer, the lake is low enough and perfect for swimming.

Enjoy!
