Recreation Site Information Muchalat Lake Recreation Site is a large fee-for-service site situated among a beautiful Douglas fir forest at the east end of Muchalat Lake.
The site includes a boat ramp, dock, beach, and swimming area, and is located adjacent to the Gold Muchalat Provincial Park with plenty of areas to explore.
Background: Muchalat Lake is located on the traditional territory of the Mowachaht-Muchalaht First Nation, approximately 20 minutes from the Village of Gold River. The site is accessed via 13 km of gravel resource road.
This site is very popular with locals and has recently increased in popularity with campers visiting from other countries. The site has been very well maintained over the past 10 years, with a site host present annually to collect fees and maintain the site.

Operations: May 15 - September 1, 2025. Camping Fees: $18/party/night and $9/party/night for seniors or persons with a disability.
