I lived in Nanaimo for a while and would drive around to find small but stunning coastal spots like this. It's unique sandstone shoreline, clear water, and incredible diving conditions. It’s a hidden gem tucked away, offering peaceful ocean views and access to one of the best shore diving areas on Vancouver Island. There are many small beach access spots around Nanimo and Parksville. Many lead to beautiful beaches perfect for lunch and some tidal pool exploring.
Madrona Point is one of those small but unforgettable places — unique sandstone formations, clear water, and a peaceful coastal feel. Whether you’re diving, exploring tide pools, or just taking in the view, it’s a hidden gem worth the stop.
