I've camped at this lake twice, and once we saw a Grizzly Bear walking the shoreline halfway down the lake from our canoe. It was an experience I had never expected. Living on the North Island for thirty-six years, Grizzly bears were something we never had to worry about. In the past twenty years, we have seen a population growth. Bears are amazing swimmers!
