Great for families and groups, but one thing is that you have to walk a distance to get to the lake from the campground.

Gordon Bay Campground, located in Gordon Bay Provincial Park on Lake Cowichan, offers a variety of camping options and amenities. The park is open year-round and features 123 reservable front country sites, 126 vehicle-accessible sites, and one group site. The campground provides facilities like drinking water, a playground, a bike park, a boat launch, campfires, picnic areas, pit or flush toilets, and showers.

BC Parks offers 123 reservable front-country campsites. Vehicle-Accessible Sites: 126 vehicle-accessible campsites are also available.

There's one group site for larger gatherings. Amenities: Campers can enjoy amenities like drinking water, a playground, a bike park, a boat launch, campfires, picnic areas, pit or flush toilets, and showers.

Activities: Water-based: Swimming, canoeing, fishing, waterskiing, windsurfing, and scuba diving are popular activities on the lake. Hiking and Nature: Hiking trails offer scenic views and opportunities to observe wildlife, including birds like juncos and Steller's jays, according to BC Parks camping.

Other: Cycling, interpretive programs, and more.

The park is open year-round, with full services available from April 1st to October 31st. During the off-season (November 1 - March 13), self-contained camping is allowed in the boat launch area, but no services or fees are collected, and the campground gate is closed.

Gordon Bay Campground is located on Lake Cowichan, north of Duncan on Vancouver Island.

Other Information: The park is known for its warm lake, sandy beach, and second-growth Douglas-fir forest. It's located in one of Vancouver Island's sunniest valleys, known for its high average annual temperature.
