This quiet campsite sits near the trailhead to San Josef Bay, part of Cape Scott Provincial Park, and it’s where most travelers set up for a night before or after exploring the area. While simple, surrounded by towering old-growth trees, mossy forest floors, and the earthy scent of the Pacific Northwest.

There are roughly 15–20 campsites, some with a picnic table and fire ring. The facilities are basic — pit toilets, no running water, and no cell service. It’s peaceful, wild, and just steps away from some of the island’s most iconic landscapes.

This isn’t a resort — it’s real, raw Vancouver Island.
