Watching a traditional mask dance (Cham) is a highlight for any photographer. While many wait for the major festivals, you can actually ask your guide to arrange a private or smaller-scale performance in one of the Dzongs.
Flexibility: It does not have to be at the Jakar Dzong - like shown in this guide; many other fortresses provide a stunning, often quieter backdrop for these vibrant performances.
