This rooftop garden at Tokyo Kotsu Kaikan is a surprisingly good spot for train photography. From up here, you get a clear view of the bullet trains as they pass through, perfectly framed by the surrounding buildings. The elevated position makes it easy to track the trains and experiment with timing, whether you’re going for sharp detail or motion blur.

What I really appreciate about this place is how accessible it is. The rooftop garden is free to enter, and you can reach it either via the external stairs or through the shopping mall itself. It’s a calm, practical location that works especially well if you enjoy photographing movement in a clean urban setting.

Best Time to Photograph:
Daytime is ideal for clarity and detail, but early evening can also work nicely as the light softens and the city starts to glow.
