This little corner in Sangenjaya is one of those spots that stops you in your tracks. Tucked between quiet apartment buildings and narrow alleyways, Torijiro is a tiny yakitori place that feels like it was made for night photography. The red lanterns give off that perfect glow, and the contrast between the warm storefront and the cool urban surroundings makes the whole place pop after dark.

What I love about this spot is how timeless it feels. Even though you’re in a modern neighborhood, standing here feels like a scene out of an old Tokyo film. The details—bikes leaned up against the walls, steam drifting from the kitchen, and those handwritten menus—make this corner feel alive.

Best Time to Photograph:
After sunset, when the neon signs and lanterns really come to life. Bring a tripod or fast lens if you're going for clean, moody shots. Bonus tip: go on a weekday night for fewer people and a calmer vibe.
