This spot near Nogata Station works especially well because the yellow train of the Seibu-Shinjuku Line passes directly through the frame of the street. The surrounding buildings and road naturally guide your eye toward the tracks, and when the train appears, it adds a strong pop of color against the otherwise muted tones.

On a sunny day, the light and shadows cut cleanly across the scene, making the moment the train enters the frame even more striking. It’s a great place to slow down, watch the timing, and wait for everything to align — train, people, and light.

Best Time to Photograph:
Sunny days are ideal. Late morning to early afternoon gives you strong shadows and enough light to really make the yellow train stand out as it moves through the scene.
