The Loma del Pliegue Tumbado hike is one of the most rewarding panoramic trails in Los Glaciares National Park, offering a quieter alternative to the busy Fitz Roy routes. The trail gradually climbs through forest and open terrain before reaching a wide, exposed ridge with sweeping 360° views over Fitz Roy, Cerro Torre, and the vast Patagonian steppe. It’s a moderately challenging hike (around 20–24 km round trip depending on how far you go), but the real payoff is the sense of space and solitude; especially at the summit, where the landscape feels wild, expansive, and far removed from the crowds.
