Chorrillo del Salto is a short and easy hike from El Chaltén that leads to a beautiful 20-meter waterfall surrounded by lenga forest.

The trail is only about 3 km (45 minutes) one way from town, mostly flat, making it perfect for a half-day outing or an easy warm-up before tackling longer treks. You can also drive most of the way and walk the last 500 meters if you prefer. At the waterfall, there’s a small viewing area where you can relax, enjoy the sound of rushing water, and take photos of the falls framed by the Andean landscape. It’s one of the most accessible natural attractions in El Chaltén, ideal for all ages and fitness levels.
