Directions

This 8-hour trekking and canoeing adventure in Tierra del Fuego National Park begins with convenient hotel pickup and takes you into the heart of Argentina’s southern wilds. You’ll embark on a moderate hike through forests, wetlands, and valleys, enjoying panoramic views of rivers meeting the sea. At the Lapataia River region, you’re outfitted with rubber boots, overpants, and life jackets before setting off in inflatable canoes that glide you gently from freshwater river into the Beagle Channel near Lapataia Bay. A hearty lunch is served in a sheltered dining tent before or after your paddle, making this tour a rich mix of walking, nature, and peaceful paddling through ever-shifting landscapes.

The tour is available year-round, but the best conditions—with stable weather and easier paddling—are generally during the warmer months (summer into early autumn), while shoulder seasons may introduce colder or wetter terrain.
