This spot is a hidden gem that not many people know about! In our opinion, It's one of the best spots on the island for photography and filmmaking! You get an incredible view of the surrounding valleys, ocean and the epic ridge lines of the mountains.

This spot is called 'La meraviglia' or 'boca do buraco' on google maps and it's located at Pico Do Arieiro, approximately 2 minutes from the offical car park. You'll see a gap in the wall along the road and a dirt track leading out to the rocky landscape.

Avoid parking on the side of the road here, and if you can park at the offical car park. Please be very careful around this area as it is rocky and has steep drops. Only come here if you are confident in your scrambling abilities.
