An iconic, completely off-grid eco-resort floating on the Kwai Noi River in Kanchanaburi. Built entirely with traditional bamboo and wood weave by the local Mon community, it features no electricity, no air-con, and no Wi-Fi. It is a spot to unplug, relax in a hammock, and use kerosene lanterns when the sun goes down.
Must try: Put on a life jacket and jump straight into the river from your deck to float down with the natural current, then watch the evening's traditional Mon tribal dance performances.
Price: 3,200 – 4,500 THB per night depending on the season (usually includes breakfast and dinner).
How to get there: Accessible only by boat from Phutakian Pier. Free long-tail boat transfers leave every hour between 08:00 and 18:00. Arriving outside these hours requires a private boat costing 1,200 THB.
