Chùa Bái Đính, situated in Ninh Binh province, Vietnam, is an ancient temple complex with multiple records in Asia and Vietnam. Dating from 1136, the ancient part of the Temple includes Hang Sáng, a mysterious cave, Đền thờ thánh Nguyễn, đền thờ thần Cao Sơn, Giếng ngọc and many historical events. The new section, built in 2003, can be admired for its architectural features such as its longest Hành lang La Hán in Asia, biggest gold Buddha in Asia and biggest copper Bodhisattva in Southeast Asia. Not only is this the largest temple complex in Vietnam but also hosted the world's first Buddhism Mahasamghika Council event from India to Vietnam back in 2008 and Vesak 2014. It is located by the doorstep of Hoa Lu Ancient Capital and in the vicinity of Trang An World Cultural Heritage site.
