Hōkan-ji Temple, also known as Yasaka Pagoda, is an impressive sight to behold in the Higashiyama District of Kyoto. This 46-meter tall pagoda was originally built by Imperial Prince Shotoku in 589 and is said to have been inspired by a dream he had. Visitors are welcome to explore the tower's architecture, statues, and fading paintings. Located conveniently between two of Kyoto's famed temples, Kiyomizu-dera and Yasaka-jinja, Hōkan-ji is an unmissable stop for any visitor looking for a unique look at Japan's ancient traditions. With a manageable entrance fee and convenient transport links, this is an attraction not to be missed!
