The majestic Wat Phra Yuen is one of the four temples that have immense historical importance in Mueang Lamphun District. The temple was originally constructed in 1213 Buddhist century and was commissioned by Queen Cham Thewi. It has many remarkable features, such as the four iconic standing Buddhist statues, the stone inscription that dates back to 600 years ago, and the Ubosot which contains beautiful preserved paintings on its pediment side. This magnificent temple is definitely a must-visit for all the history buffs out there. Enjoy the fascinating architecture and immerse yourself in the rich culture and cultural heritage of Thailand.
