Located a short ride from the main park headquarters in the park's southern reaches, Khao Daeng ("Red Mountain") is the best place in Khao Sam Roi Yot to get a solid hike with breathtaking views as your reward. Take plenty of water, d o not g o alone, and pass on climbing if it has rained recently. The trail is not very clearly marked. The hike takes around 45 minutes. And if like me you don't want to hike, you can launch your drone for the same vIew: Near the entrance oft h e trail, you have Wat Khao Daeng (see above), a pretty temple with palm trees and buffalos.
