Nanshoso--a beautiful park full of history and culture in Morioka, Iwate, Japan. Located in the heart of the old Meiji historical district, Nanshoso was once the residence of local businessman Yasugoro Segawa around 1885. The traditional Japanese-style garden and architecture have been registered as protected garden and landscape structures, while the lush greens of its garden are registered monuments of Japan. Today, Nanshoso is more than just a historic house, it also serves as a popular destination for locals and visitors alike. From the grounds to the building, visitors can explore the wonders of days gone by. Furthermore, they can enjoy activities such as Matcha green tea tastings or sightseeing at the castle ruins nearby. With its mixture of tranquil gardens and lively events, Nanshoso Park is sure to give visitors a unique and exciting experience of traditional Japan.
