Akihabara Radio Kaikan is a buzzing 10-story commercial building located in the Akihabara district of Tokyo, Japan. It is renowned for its unique combination of electronics stores and otaku goods. The original 8-story building was opened in November 1962 making it one of the first high rise buildings in the area. In 2014 a new modern ten-level building replaced the original after growing concerns about the structural integrity of the building's aging facade.
