There are so many ways and different points of view where you can take photos of the skyscraper. From below, at Chong Nonsi skytrain station or W hotel Sathorn. From above, you can try the skywalk observatory at the top floor where you can walk on a glass window. Here I suggest to go during weekdays to get better prices (50% discount at the time of writing), or just go to the skybar where you can enjoy the view and pay for drinks and food instead of the very high ticket price (1,050 THB for top floor and glass tray). From far away, you can visit some building's rooftops, such as : Paso Tower (8th floor Parking) and ITF Tower (35th floor). These 2 are free locations, just make sure not to bother people working and living in these buildings. If you have more budget, you can book an airbnb in Ashton Chula Silom or book a room in Marriott Hotel The Surawongse where both of these locations have beautiful views of Mahanakhon with infinity pools. From the sky, if you have a drone, you can launch it from the 35th floor of TIF Tower. Make sure to follow general rules of flying in Thailand. I also recommend a great café near BTS Chong Nonsi with the best brioche in town: Brioche from Heaven.
