The Sapporo TV Tower, built in 1957 by architect Tachū Naitō (who also designed Tokyo Tower), is an iconic 147.2-meter landmark located at the eastern end of Odori Park in Sapporo. It features an observation deck 90 meters above ground, offering 360-degree views of the city, including Odori Park, the Ishikari countryside, and the Sea of Japan on clear days.

2026 Visitor Information

  • Hours: Typically open daily from 9:00 AM to 10:00 PM (last entry at 9:50 PM). Hours may be extended during major events like the Snow Festival.

  • Admission (2026):

    • Adults (High school and above): 1,000 yen.

    • Elementary and Junior High Students: 500 yen.

    • Preschoolers: Free.
