The Temple on the Hill in Pai has many names. For the Thai themselves this temple is called the Wat Phra That Mae Yen. But tourists often call this temple the Big White Buddha in Pai or simply The Temple on the Hill. You can see the Big White Buddha from miles away, the Temple on the Hill with the huge white Buddha stands on a mountain east of the village of Pai. The buddha is about 7 minutes from Pai town center and when you arrive you need to climb 353 steps to the top. You'll be rewarded with a nice view of rice fields and mountains. It's also very easy to launch the drone from the parking where you can see the buddha lost in the middle of a big jungle !
