Sankeien Garden is a traditional Japanese landscape garden located in Yokohama, Japan. Founded by Hara Sankei in 1904, the garden provides visitors with a unique slice of traditional Japan. Featuring numerous historic buildings from all across Japan, Sankeien Gardens houses an elegant daimyo (feudal lord) residence, various tea houses and the main hall and three storied pagoda of Kyoto's old Tomyoji Temple. Visitors can explore winding paths and marvel at picturesque views of ponds, small rivers, flowers and stunningly arranged trails. Additionally, the garden is accessible from many points in Yokohama and is well worth a visit for anyone looking to experience old-world Japan.
