The Aomori Nebuta Festival is an annual summer festival in Aomori, Aomori Prefecture, Japan. This vibrant celebration features floats of brave warriors, haneto dancers who move to the beat of Rasserā, fireworks, music, and more! Participants can join a processional group and put on the costumes of haneto dancers as they carry the float or cheer along the side. Additionally, every year the best procession group is awarded the Heisei Award and nebuta floats can be seen in other cities such as Hakodate and Shibuya. It’s an amazing sight that everyone should witness!
