Nestled in a dramatic valley just outside Stellenbosch, Jonkershoek is a paradise for hiking and mountain biking, with a network of trails to choose from. If you're driving, try to arrive early (as early as 7AM on weekends) as only a limited number of cars are allowed past the main gate to the trailheads , otherwise, you'll have a beautiful, but long, 5km walk before your hike even begins.
