It is an excellent museum covering many centuries of military history not just in Tenerife but whole Canary Island archipelago.

It is very well organized, with helpful personnel (although not everyone speaks English, so you may need to use a translator), and many interesting artifacts (all with English translation).

If you like (military) history you do not want to miss this gem when you are visiting Santa Cruz. It will be also very interesting to kids since there are outside collections of cannons, military vehicles over the years, and different defensive weapons.
