This is a very old Spanish village that was a Guanche settlement before the Spaniards. A truly magnificent place with dramatic volcanic scenery which in some ways reminds of Machu Picchu in Peru.
The village is still habitable. There are a few cobbled streets, traditional Canarian houses, and a church. Also cafes, restaurants, multiple hiking trails, and lots of opportunities for hiking
