How to get here- To reach this canyon, enter the following exact coordinates into your navigation app: 42°12′29.45″N 76°50′45.45″E

This route will take you along the main highway until you reach a dirt road, which marks the entrance to the canyon. Follow the trail to the left, and you’ll soon notice the sand turning into clay—a crucial detail.

Do not attempt to drive this route after heavy rain. The clay becomes extremely slippery and sticky, making it nearly impossible to pass—even with a 4x4. Getting stuck here means a very difficult and expensive rescue.

From the dirt road, it’s about a 45-minute drive through the canyon. Follow the well-worn tracks until you reach the shores of Lake Issyk-Kul, where you can park anywhere along the beach.

🥾 Once parked, it’s about a 20-minute hike up the steep canyon slopes. The climb is tough, but the panoramic views at the top are absolutely worth it.

When to visit- Summer is the ideal season to explore this canyon. For the most breathtaking views and magical lighting, plan your visit around sunrise or sunset. At these times, the canyon’s colors come alive, casting stunning shadows and creating a truly unforgettable atmosphere.
